Dear Mr. Fenigstein,

It gives me much pleasure once again, to congratulate you on the forthcoming Twelfth Israel Film Festival to be held in New York, Los Angeles and Tel Aviv.

In harboring fond recollections of last year's festival, I regret that prior obligations prevent me from being present at this year's Gala Event.

Israel's budding film industry is rapidly developing and today represents an integral part of the country's contemporary culture. I place great emphasis on the dissemination of Israel's cultural achievements and the annual Israel Film Festival is a central component of this policy.

I take this opportunity to wish you and the Organizing Committee for all your valuable work and I wish the Festival the success it so richly deserves.
